Paolo Lanzarotti, is the new Managing Director of SABMiller India. Paolo has adept business acumen and a rich work experience of about 23 years in various organizations.

Paolo’s key responsibilities at SABMiller India include: overseeing the group’s operations, expansion and growth in the country and working towards building the SABMiller brands in the diverse and challenging Indian market.

Paolo’s diverse work experience ranges from positions of sales executive to CEO of few of the leading companies of the world. He started his career in London in 1987 with Mobil oil co. Ltd and worked at various sales positions for 5 years. After completing a successful stint of 6 years in Rome with the same company, he eventually settled as Manager, Resellers and Subsidiaries. In May 1998 he moved to Paris and became the Commercial Fuel Manager at Mobil Africa.

Paolo is no stranger to India, and is conversant with the Indian market scenario, as he spent three years in India, initially in the role of CEO of IndoMobil Pvt Ltd, a joint venture between ExxonMobil and IOC and thereafter CEO of ExxonMobil Lubricants Pvt Ltd.

Paolo joined SABMiller in 2005 in Italy, as Strategic Planning Director and subsequently became the Sales and Distribution Director of the Birra Peroni business. In 2008, he moved to Slovakia as Managing Director of SABMiller’s operation there, Pivovary Topvar.

Paolo is a post graduate In BSC (Hons), Chemistry from Kings College University of London and has completed his MBA from the Open University, England. Paolo’s well versed with three languages, English, Italian and French.

He is married and has two children.
