Foster’s was launched in India back in 1998 and was the first “truly international beer brand” to be introduced to Indian beer consumers. It is a testimony to Foster’s success that the brand is today omnipresent across geographies and channels in Indian and is catering to the needs of consumers with both Foster’s Lager “Mild beer” and Foster’s Gold “Strong Beer” variants in all prominent pack formats.

Foster’s continues to plays a critical role for our business in the Mainstream beer segment and has been positioned earlier on the extra-cold refreshment territory. To make the brand even more relevant to consumers a new world class packaging and bottle design has been developed with the help of a famous international design agency. In order to connote premium cues and refreshment the new packaging encompasses five key features:

  • A ring-pull cap
  • A new proprietary bottle shape which will be the tallest beer bottle amongst the current competitive set
  • A new and contemporary label and can design
  • A distinctive embossing on the proprietary bottles
  • A thermo-chromatic element on our labels and cans with a snowflake design that changes color with the temperature of the beer and shows consumers when the beer is extra-cold and most refreshing
