Paul Aloysius D’Silva
Paul D’Silva, Finance Director, SABMiller India, brings over 15 years of experience from beverage industry. In his role as Finance Director, Paul is responsible for strategic planning, implementing system of internal control, ensuring compliance, risk management, mergers & acquisitions and business development. Paul joined SABMiller India in March 2011 and prior to that we was working as Finance Director at Kgalagadi Breweries (Pty) Ltd, Botswana, one of the top manufacturing entities and employers in Botswana.

Paul joined SABMiller in 1994 and since then has held various esteemed positions in different geographies/markets. Paul is not new to SABMiller India. He was the Finance Director India from 2000-2003 and Business Integration Director from 2003-04. During this period he was responsible to set the financial direction of the company including formation of new company, recruitment of people, implementation of internal control and monitoring systems, regulatory compliance, budgeting, forecasting and setting up reporting systems for the new organisation.

Paul has many awards to his credit. He has won the awards for “excellence in financial controls” (May 2010), “excellence in Internal control & governance” and “Best listed entity” (May 2009) within the SABMiller African and Asia group. For two successive years Paul was awarded for creating “best published annual report” in the Commerce and Industry category in Botswana (2008 & 2009).

Prior to joining SABMiller, Paul served as Senior Auditor at Price Waterhouse Cooper and Audit Manager at Fisher Hoffman Stride, in Botswana.

Paul is a post graduate in B.Com from St. Aloysius College, Mangalore University and has completed his Chartered Accountancy, from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Paul is also a fellow member with  Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and Botswana Institute of Accountants.

Paul is an avid sportsman and enjoys playing and watching cricket whenever he gets time.
